Will Johnson

Will Johnson is Chairman/President and sole owner of Visage Energy Corp., a natural gas marketing company, which was formed in 1990 after 15 years in the banking industry. During his banking career, Will Johnson was a corporate lending officer responsible for lending hundreds of millions of dollars to electric and gas utilities and major oil and gas producers. His client list included Niagara Mohawk, the three California utilities, ARCO, Union Oil, and the Kern River Cogeneration project. He received his MBA from the Wharton Graduate School.

In 2010, Will was honored as a Champion of Diversity by the Utility Marketplace Access Partnership (UMAP) under the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) and in conjunction with the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC). Will was an invited participant in a CPUC hearing in 2003 that addressed ways to improve the Commission's women, minority and disabled veteran's business enterprise (WMDVBE) program and how to advance utility workforce diversity.

In January of 2001, Will Johnson accepted a consulting assignment with Williams Energy Marketing & Trading. He assisted Williams in exploring and evaluating liquidity and risk mitigation issues from non-traditional financing sources and in exploring and evaluating technology opportunities with the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). 

Will Johnson is a member of the Board of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners/Department of Energy (NARUC/DOE) WMBE Energy Market Access Partnership Board. 


In 1998, Will Johnson was presented with the DOE's "Outstanding Business Person of the Year" Award. He formulated and developed a unique financing facility, the Funds Transfer Agent Agreement (FTAA), to assist women and minority-owned companies, and other non-minority emerging companies.
